Not an interesting hook. There is nothing even slightly unusual, surprising or interesting about a horse-race being won by a horse. That is the expected outcome, and occurs in more than 99.9% of instances of horse races. There's plenty of more interesting material in the article - a better hook is needed. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 18:46, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Comment While yes I agree that it is not out of the ordinary for horses to win horse races (duh), her surprise victory at the 1817 St Leger Stakes is still interesting. Interesting in the sense that it is one of those things most laymen don't know about, and not in the sense that it is unusual. We all know that golfers win golf titles, but we still find it interesting to learn that Adam Scott won this year's Masters. And as an update, I find ALT1 the best hook. Good job. Which source does the 20/1 odds come from? It's not in the Sportsman.
