Hans Steinert, known for publishing the first description of Myotonic dystrophy
- ... that after stimulating them with electricity, Hans Steinert described the worm-like twitching of his patients' muscles? "Thus, these studies observed the physical effects on muscles after electric stimulation. In this context, Steinert correctly inferred that myotonic muscles exhibited tetaniform contractions with minimal stimulus size that outlasted the duration of stimulation.
