Marikamba Temple, Sirsi

[edit]

  • Long enough, new and interesting hook. However, I feel the name must be mentioned rather than using a generic term like temple. QPQ check. I leave the decision about the mention of name to you.... everything else is an aye.. Thanks, ƬheStrikeΣagle sorties 17:48, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
  • It was done to keep the hook length to less than 200 ch. I have slightly modified the hook as ALT1 ... that when Gandhi during his campaign to abolish untouchability in 1933 refused to visit the Marikamba Temple, Sirsi (pictured), as animal sacrifice was a prevalent practice there? --Nvvchar. 19:56, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
  • Even with the inclusion of the name in the original hook, it's still 194 characters, as the (pictured) doesn't count. However, ALT2 shortens it to 184, and it can be further shortened if desired by piping Gandhi. I've struck ALT1, as it's grammatically a mess.
  • ALT2: ... that when Mahatma Gandhi visited Sirsi in 1933 during his campaign to abolish untouchability, he refused to visit Marikamba Temple (pictured), as animal sacrifice was a prevalent practice there? MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 22:07, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
  • ALT2 Hook is fine. Thanks.--Nvvchar. 23:43, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
