Nilüfer Verdi

  • ... that Nilüfer Verdi is considered as the first female jazz pianist of Turkey? Source: "Türkiye’nin ilk kadın caz piyanisti olarak anılan Nilüfer Verdi ..." (in Turkish) [1]

  • Much of this article checks out, but there are a multitude of grammar and (minor) spelling errors that make it look like a mechanical translation. Also "considered...the first female jazz pianist" is likely an artifact of the same, as either she is the first or she isn't - it's an objective matter, not subjective. This needs a copyedit pass before it can be considered for the front page. - The Bushranger One ping only 02:41, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
  • Thanks for your efforts. Requested copyediting. by the Guild CeeGee 05:45, 19 January 2021 (UTC)
  • @CeeGee: Much better grammar-wise now. I'm still not sure about "considered to be" - would removing those words from the hook work (i.e. making it a definitive statement "is the first") or is there something in the Turkish language sources about that being uncertain? - The Bushranger One ping only 07:33, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
  • She is "the first ..." according to sources. I thought "considered" might be more acceptable. CeeGee 16:59, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
  • "Considered" makes it seem ambiguous, which is why I was concerned. The below works. Thanks for being patient about this! - The Bushranger One ping only 23:14, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
