Insufficient progress toward resolving outstanding issues

Psych Central[edit]

  • ... that Psych Central is the internet's largest and oldest independent mental health social network?
  • Comment: thanks.

  • The hook fact is uncited in the article, and there are a couple more "citation needed" tags. Elsewhere in the article, there's a major problem with citation overkill. Picking a few other issues almost at random, as I work my way down the page: "considered by some to be an authority site" is weaselly; "This popular psychiatric website" sounds promotional; "the Internet’s longest-running psychology and mental health blog" is sourced to the Psych Central website (the other source doesn't make any such claim); the phrase "he lost his childhood best friend to untreated depression" was lifted from this source (I haven't checked for copyvio in the rest of the article); "ranted and railed" is not an accurate quote; there shouldn't be an external link in the article body; most of the references are to online articles, but links to these articles haven't been provided, and some of the titles aren't accurate.
In short, this article is a long way from being eligible for DYK, and unless it's cleaned up pretty swiftly, this nomination will have to be rejected. DoctorKubla (talk) 18:50, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
  • It has been over two weeks with no action and no significant edits to the article, and a ping to the creator's talk page has not helped matters. Marking this for closure; if the creator should stop by before the close and respond, then the nomination could continue. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:52, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
