... that Stephen III of Moldavia (pictured) stated in 1502 that he had fought 36 battles, only losing two of them? Source: "In 1502, Stephen is reported to have told Matteo Muriano - perhaps half as a boast and half as a complaint - "I am surrounded by enemies on all sides, and have fought 36 battles since I was lord of this country, and othese won 34 and lost two.""
