Usage

This template is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.

It is used by the template {{Lang}} with language code gem to include articles in Category:Articles containing Germanic-language text. For example: {{Lang |gem |some text in Germanic}}, which wraps the text with <span lang="gem">. Also available is {{Lang-gem |some text in Germanic}} which displays as Proto-Germanic: *some text in Germanic.

It is used by {{Link language|gem}} to display the language of an external link. This template could add articles to Category:Articles with Germanic-language external links, if the category was created (using {{Non-English-language external links category |code=gem |name=Germanic}}).
