Usage

Use this rcat template on mainspace redirects only.
As of May 2015 only "plant", "fish" and "fungus" are recognized; any other value is ignored.
  • The default is that the redirect is printworthy; |2=unprintworthy may be used to specify that it is not (e.g. if it is very close in spelling to another alternative scientific name). In the This is a redirect template use the |nN= parameter, where N is the position of this template in the list of rcats. See below.
  • Add this rcat to a redirect page (not a talk-page redirect) in the following manner:
#REDIRECT [[(target article title)]]

{{Redr|from alternative scientific name}}
Template {{Redr}} is an alias for the This is a redirect template, which may be used to add up to seven appropriate rcats, along with their parameters, to a redirect. Any subcategory must then be given by |pN= where N is the position of this template in the list of rcats.
Examples:
{{Redr|from alternative scientific name|from move}}
{{Redr|from alternative scientific name|p1=plant|from move}}
{{Redr|from move|from alternative scientific name|p2=plant}}
For more information see the documentation on the {{Redr}} template page and its comparison page. This rcat may also tag a redirect individually:
#REDIRECT [[(target article title)]]

{{R from alternative scientific name}}
This is in accord with instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.
