Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

This TOC is meant for numbered lists with 10,000 entries, such as the Meanings of minor planet names series, which begin at 100,001–110,000.

To be fully functional, the page must have 10 anchors whose names range from "prefix" parameter plus 0 through "prefix" parameter plus 9. For example, if |prefix=150, the required anchors are "150", "151", "152", ..., "159". In a table, this can be done by adding id="150", id="151", etc., to a cell's parameters.

The |prefix= parameter is required, but defaults to |prefix=150 for the lower range to suppress error messages. |prefix= should be set to: (<# of the lowest possible entry on the page> - 1)/1000. For example, Meanings of minor planet names: 100,001–110,000's |prefix= parameter should be set to: (100,001 - 1)/1000, or |prefix=100.

When prefix <= 150, or empty, the bottom range of the TOC is 100k–200k. When prefix >= 160, the bottom range of the TOC dynamically adjusts to the range (<prefix> - 50) × 1000 to (<prefix> + 50) × 1000. For example, the range for Meanings of minor planet names: 200,001–210,000, which uses |prefix=200, is (200 - 50) × 1000 to (200 + 50) × 1000, or 150,000 to 250,000.
