Israel still can qualify directly as total goal difference is first priority and Russia and Portugal can lose their matches EgorKulikov (talk) 07:54, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

Portugal not quite assured.[edit]

If Portugal lose to Luxembourg and Northern Ireland go bottom, then Portgual's points in the runner-up table would drop from 15 to 12, and they could miss the playoffs. AJCham 22:13, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

Oh, hang on - Portugal would only drop to 14, as they only picked up 4 points from Northern Ireland. Maybe they are through. AJCham 22:18, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
Ye - the most anyone from group B can get is 12, so at the very least they'd be ahead of them. (talk) 22:20, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
Ah yes, but Azerbaijan could still be bottom of Portugal's group, so Portugal could still finish on 12 as well. AJCham 22:23, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
oops - didn't spot that one. (talk) 22:25, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
Oops, I screwed this one up too. It's already been reverted, which I appreciate. I got thrown off by the fact that 2014_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification_–_UEFA_Group_F showed a brown color for "Team is assured of at least second place" instead of the light blue -- the light blue wasn't listed as having any meaning -- and so I thought the light blue was a typo. I'm going through and changing that brown color back to the proper #ccffff on all the group pages now. PsyMar (talk) 01:49, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
I understand the problem. Some editor complained about the blue color earlier and started changing on some places. QED237 (talk) 01:51, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
