Team row highlight[edit]

Hey, I've been trying to transform this template into more of a copy of Template:A-League 2008-09 Position Ladder so that the team row highlighting will work. As far as I can see, and I'm not the best template editor, they are exactly the same now (save the two extra teams) yet the row highlighting doesn't work. I've also duplicated the old documentation, Template:A-League_2007-08_Position_Ladder/doc, so we have a new document with the new teams for easier understanding. There seems to be a problem with the new documentation, as the example's values do not show up in the table (and also that a loop has been detected). It's probably just a simple error somewhere, but if not, I'd be happy to work with you to figure out the problem. Thanks, timsdad (talk) 02:35, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

No one has made a Template:ALeague GCU colour or Template:ALeague NQF colour template yet, so that's why those colours don't work. --Squilibob (talk) 08:00, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
I didn't think that would matter, seeing as I tried to highlight Queensland Roar's line. Well it's working on the documentation on THIS page, but not on the documentation page itself, which is strange. - timsdad (talk) 08:09, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Don't worry, it works in both, the main documentation page just hasn't updated yet. As you can see by your links above changing to blue, I created the colour templates for the two new teams. The only problem might be that the NQF dark green is too dark to read the writing clearly. What do you think? - timsdad (talk) 08:23, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
I'd say take it to the WikiProject and get some consensus on the colours, which you have done already. If anything, I was thinking of using the darker of the two green colours from the penalties that are used on the top scorers table, but it's #a0ffa0 which is the other extreme - it may be too bright. --Squilibob (talk) 10:12, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Well it doesn't appear that the WikiProject gets much traffic. We might have to go for the #a0ffa0, as I strongly feel that the #006600 is much too dark. --timsdad (talk) 13:29, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Goal difference[edit]

Can someone please tell me how I can make the proper look for the goal difference figures in this template? I mean, the positive gd is usually shown with a plus sign, and negative with a normal minus, not the hyphen. —WiJG? 17:36, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

If it all possible, it definitely has to be done at this template, as that's how this particular template functions. I'm assuming you want this table to look like this one, for example? That particular one appears to use the template Fb cl header. Maybe we should switch to that template if it makes it easier... --timsdad (talk) 00:30, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Just to see how it would work out, I put together a ladder for this season using the template FB cl header. There are a few problems, though. For some reason, the points totals are way off, and I can't remove the Qualification or relegation column. My attempt can be found here. --timsdad (talk) 01:17, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, that's exactly what I had in mind. I re-arranged the template for the current season on your page, check it out. —WiJG? 06:14, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for working that out. I prefer the plus and minus signs, but I really don't think the Qualification or relegation column should be in our template, as teams can't get relegated. I'm thinking we could just copy the code from Template:Fb cl header to our existing template, and remove that column altogether? That way we can continue to use the existing template name, so we don't have to go around changing the template occurences everywhere. --timsdad (talk) 06:26, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, you do have qualification to ACL, don't you? —WiJG? 06:47, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
And the Finals series. I for one would like to see it in there, at least for the ACL. All the other leagues have it. --Tomwijgers (talk) 04:02, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
Request filled --Squilibob (talk) 07:15, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Yep, thanks for that. I think we've given up on this particular template anyway. --timsdad (talk) 07:18, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
