Dolucky no Kusayakiu[edit]

I have taken Dolucky no Kusayakiu off the list as I cannot see how that endorsed any brand other than that of its own publisher. In-house mascot is nothing unusual in videogames, Mario and Sonic is a good example of that, most videogame software houses have their own mascots. Donnie Park (talk) 11:22, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

TV shows[edit]

I am taken the decision to remove anything named after TV shows as videogames named after them are not uncommon, this template is meant to list those promoting products or brands, not TV shows. Donnie Park (talk) 11:37, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

I've removed a lot of titles. There's a distinction between in-game product placement, games that are licensed and advertising games. Games with corporate mascots belong under the advergame name since they are intended to increase brand awareness. But for other games, a good rule of thumb is seeing if the game was specifically commissioned by the company. Mere product placement isn't necessarily enough, as lots of games feature real-life products in-game. But games that just carry licensed brand names obviously don't belong here (e.g. racing games). --Jtalledo (talk) 18:31, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
