U.S. state templates
[edit]Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. states/state templates lists and displays all 50 U.S. state (and additional other) templates. It potentially can be used for ideas and standardization. //MrD9 07:12, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Standardization of state templates
[edit]There is currently an ongoing discussion regarding standardization of state templates (primarily regarding layout and styling) at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject U.S. states/state templates. An effort was made earlier this year to standardize Canadian province templates (which mostly succeeded). Lovelac7 and I have already begun standardizing all state templates. If you have any concerns, they should be directed toward the discussion page for state template standardization. Thanks! — Webdinger BLAH | SZ 22:37, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
Regions in the Template
[edit]Hi, what is the base of the selection of regions? Are they established and from a reliable source? To me they lack credibility, as they are either highly redundant and/or ridiculously fine graded in other parts. The result looks like a arbitrary mixture. What do you think? --h-stt !? 18:14, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
I'm confused
[edit]Isn't Glibert a town and not a city? If so, then why is it listed in the cities section of this article? VibeScepter (talk) (contributions) 20:14, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
- there is a comment in the template that says "pop 50,000", so I guess it is meant to include towns also if they are at least 50k. MB 22:02, 13 January 2019 (UTC)
arbitrary cutoff
[edit]i don't see why we would list only cities with 50,000 or more residents. it seems arbitrary and a violation of WP:NPOV. Logoshimpo (talk) 03:33, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
Pruning navboxes
[edit]A discussion on whether certain US state navigation boxes should be pruned or otherwise systematically altered is at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject United States#Pruning navboxes. Please comment there. Johnuniq (talk) 06:38, 15 February 2026 (UTC)
