Are elections before "2005 elections" in fact elections?[edit]
We should discuss this. Kavas (talk) 02:10, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yes. They are a little unusual in the fact they took the form of referendums, but that's because they were single-candidate elections, so they could only be in the form of yes/no votes. This system is/was also used in both Syria (where the articles are all named as elections) and Iraq. al-Ahram for one describes it as an election. Putting them under the referendums section would be a mistake, as would creating a new row. Number 57 06:57, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
