Let’s settle this. I’m fully aware that ACS Poli Timișoara and FC Politehnica Timișoara are two different teams. Normally, Poli and Politehnica are different enough to make a distinction. However, since the popular name of FC Politehnica Timișoara is Poli Timișoara, the risk of confusions is very high. There is also a third team, ASU Politehnica Timișoara, playing in the fourth league fighting for the name. The two main Romanian sports magazine resolved this dispute by using ACS Poli as a short name for ACS Poli Timișoara (you could see that on the following links: http://www.gsp.ro/stiri-echipa/acs-poli-timi-oara-630.html and http://acspoli.prosport.ro/). My opinion is that this is the right way to differentiate the two teams. Acornboy (talk) 16:38, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
FC Fulgerul Bragadiru, FC Rocar Bucuresti, FC Poli AEK Bucuresti, FC Poli AEK Timisoara, FC Timisoara, FC Politehnica Timişoara
For Mark Arsten.
This is the correct version, you added protection to wrong version with abbreviations and without the city name. Example: Poli is the name and Timişoara is the city name, it's like change the of page Manchester United in "United FC".
Acornboy is the fan of that team. Poli Timişoara is the correct name, and no another team used this name ever, it was only a nickname used ilegal by FC Timişoara, In England for example exist three teams from Sheffield and three name on template is Sheffield for Sheffield F.C., Sheffield United for Sheffield United F.C. and Sheffield Wednesday for Sheffield Wednesday F.C., here why do not "confuse" teams names? And primarily FC Timişoara aka Politehnica Timişoara was dissolved last year.
The site of Professional Football League of Romania, the only one authorized uses the correct name POLI Timisoara, see here, not a newspaper. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.8.131.52 (talk) 05:49, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
I'm not a fan of any team. The name Poli Timişoara was popularly used by FC Politehnica Timişoara fans for years. ACS Poli is used even of the ACS Poli Timişoara official site (http://www.acspoli.ro/) Also, on the Romanian federation website, Poli and Politehnica are considered equivalent (http://www.frf.ro/taguri/poli-timisoara). FC Timişoara was the name uses by the principal team of the city during another name war - this one was legally settled by the Court of Arbitration in Sports (http://www.tas-cas.org/d2wfiles/document/3426/5048/0/Award20165820internet.pdf). A Romanian court returned the name and colors of FC Politehnica in 2010 (http://www.opiniatimisoarei.ro/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Citatie-poli.pdf). It's correct that the team was dissolved last year, but this was but this was a trick. Because of a three years ban to play in the first league (http://www.uefa.com/uefa/aboutuefa/news/newsid=1652377.html), the local authorities created this new team, with a confusing name and without any debts by moving ACS Recaş to Timişoara. Both teams played in the last year Liga II. Acornboy (talk) 06:52, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
Vad ca nu vrei sa intelegi
Te-am intrebat ceva, vad ca nu esti in stare sa-mi raspunzi. Aia de la LPF si FRF de ce pun langa numele echipei si orasul de provenienta? Poate vrei sa-mi explici. Am facut cum ti-ai dorit, am scos si la restul echipelor numele orasului. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.108.40.206 (talk) 12:00, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
Aceasta pagină este protejată, prin urmare needitabilă. Dacă consideri că este neceasară adăugarea numelui orașului, vom face asta, dar din câte îmi amintesc eu problema ta era cu ACS, nu cu Timișoara. Acornboy (talk) 12:50, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
