This is a template to generate links to Internet Movie Database. This template should be used exclusively for COMPANIES, that is, mostly, film production companies.

If you need to link a person (actor, actress, etc.), use {{imdb name}} instead. And if you need to link a movie, use {{imdb title}} instead.

  1. Locate the name of a production company in the "Company credits" section of some movie, produced by that company. For example, company credits for the movie called Koordinaty smerti
  2. Click on the correct link to go to the production (or whatever) company's page (e.g., Gorky Film Studios in the above example). Be sure you're getting on the correct company page.
  3. The page URL should look like http://www.imdb.com/company/co#######, where "#######" indicates a number.
  4. Copy ONLY that number (be sure to remove the "co" and to keep all the zeros)
  5. Add to the external links section the text:
* {{imdb company|id=#######|company=Company}}
where "#######" is the number you've copied, and "Company" is the name of the film production (or whatever) company.

  1. Searching for "Gorky Film Studios", you get this page: http://www.imdb.com/company/co0114132/
  2. Copy "0114132" and then write:
{{imdb company|id=0114132|company=Gorky Film Studios}}

The result is Gorky Film Studios on IMDb

Note that, since this will almost certainly go on the external link section, you should add a * before the template text to include it as a list item.
