Piraeus as a city in the template[edit]

It has been suggested that the city of Piraeus, which is part of the Athens Urban Area, be added as a separate city in the template. Personally I am against that move because, even in official statistics it appears as part of the Athens Urban Area. Additionally, the Piraeus City website states that "The wider area of Piraeus is constituted of the Municipality of Piraeus and six other municipalities-suburbs, with a population of 466,065 and an area of 50.4 square kilometers, and constitutes the south-west part of the Athens urban area, which constitutes the Capital Periphery". According to the Kallikratis Reform, Piraeus has its own Peripheral Unit.

Also, this list includes urban populations, therefore the population of Piraeus is already included in that of Athens. Whether or not Piraeus is a different city is irrelevant; everyone knows Piraeus is a city by itself, but it is part of the Athens urban area. It can also be seen in this government press release that Piraeus is regarded as part of the Athens urban area. --Philly boy92 (talk) 23:55, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
