Would you like a new picture? Like a transparent one? To make it look better?--Architeuthidae (Talk | Contributions) 23:42, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking of using this picture here, which is in the public domain, to make a transparent image.--Architeuthidae (Talk | Contributions) 23:46, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Template-protected edit request on 20 September 2018

[edit]

Please change the lines

|note 1={{{needs-photo|}}}
|NOTE_1_CAT = Wikipedia requested photographs of fungi

to read

|note 1={{{needs-photo|{{{needs-image|{{{image-needed|{{{photo-needed|}}}}}}}}}}}}
|NOTE_1_CAT = Wikipedia requested images of fungi‎

so that any of

|needs-image=yes
|needs-photo=yes
|image-needed=yes
|photo-needed=yes

populate the image request category, as other WikiProjects have moved from 'photograph' categories to 'image' categories. Nessie (talk) 15:34, 21 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please change:

|QUALITY_SCALE         = standard

To read:

|QUALITY_SCALE=subpage

So that we can use the full quality scale. Template:WikiProject Fungi/class (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) has already been created. Nessie (talk) 15:28, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

 Done Cabayi (talk) 16:18, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@NessieVL: If what you need is the full quality scale, then you don't need a subpage. Just set |QUALITY_SCALE=extended and you will get the seven extra classes that the FQS provides on top of the standard scale. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 00:10, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to delete the MCB tag option from Template:WikiProject Fungi

[edit]

Prompted by the discussion at WikiProject Microbiology, I would like to propose also removing the Molecular and Cell Biology parameter from this talk template. It seems to be causing WikiProject Molecular and Cell Biology some trouble, it isn't very closely related to WikiProject Fungi, and can easily be avoided by using {{WikiProject Molecular and Cell Biology}}. --Nessie (talk) 15:04, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

According to this search (assuming I've done it correctly) the |MCB= parameter isn't currently set in any {{WikiProject Fungi}} occurences. So removing it should be transparent. If required the {{WikiProject MCB}} template can be used directly.   Jts1882 | talk  16:01, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I support removing the parameter. Plantdrew (talk) 16:30, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Can someone please add a parameter which would allow the lichen task force to set an article importance level distinct from that assigned by the main WP:FUNGI project? I'm envisioning a something like

|lichen-imp=

which would allow us to put things into appropriate importance categories for our task force. This should default to the main project's importance level if it's not set, but should "override" the main importance level (only for any "lichen task force article by importance" category) if it's set to something different. (The {{WikiProject Novels}} banner has an example of a distinct task force importance parameter like the one we'd like.) Please ping me if this request isn't clear. I don't know enough yet about complex template programming to show the actual coding needed! MeegsC (talk) 08:37, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand the details of these templates or how they are used, but {{WikiProject Fungi}} contains the following code:
|tf 1={{{lichen|{{{lichens|}}}}}}
 |TF_1_LINK           = Wikipedia:WikiProject Fungi/Lichen task force
 |TF_1_NAME = the Lichen task force
 |TF_1_NESTED         = Lichens
 |TF_1_TEXT           =
 |TF_1_IMAGE          = Xanthoria elegans 97571 wb1.jpg
  |TF_1_QUALITY       = yes
  |TF_1_IMPORTANCE    = yes
 |tf 1 importance={{{lichen-importance|{{{importance|}}}}}}
 |TF_1_ASSESSMENT_CAT = Lichen task force articles
 |TF_1_MAIN_CAT = Lichen task force articles
Doesn't parameter |lichen-importance= do what you want? —  Jts1882 | talk  09:47, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ah! I didn't see that. Thanks for highlighting it for me Jts1882. Guess I'll add it to the documentation! ;) MeegsC (talk) 10:33, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
