The Terme River (Template:Lang-tr; Template:Lang-el, Thermōdōn) is in the border of Terme district, located in central northern Turkey between the cities of Ordu and Samsun. The river flows about 50 kilometres (31 mi) east of the coastal city Samsun into the Black Sea.

The region consists of a fertile, rather secluded, plain. High mountains can be found to the south and east, and the Yeşil River flows to the west.

In Greek mythology, the legendary capital of the Amazons, Themiscyra, was found on the river Thermodon.
