The Advanced Center for Korean Studies (한국국학진흥원, 韓國國學進興院) was founded in 1995 as a non-profit foundation, under the affiliate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism,[1] with an aim of contributing to the creative succession of our traditional culture and Korean studies by conducting comprehensive and systematic researches, conservation, collection and studies on archives owned by individuals which were on the brink of disappearing due to damage or theft.[2]
