The sixth season of the American crime thriller television series The Blacklist premiered on NBC on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 10:00 PM, followed by its time slot premiere on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 9:00 PM.[1] The season is set to contain 22 episodes.[2]

The series continues to be produced by Davis Entertainment, Universal Television and Sony Pictures Television, and executive produced by Jon Bokenkamp, John Davis, John Eisendrath, John Fox, and Joe Carnahan.

In the meantime, the task force goes after Dr Stark, a bio-scientist performing unauthorized human trials for a treatment of MCDD whose effective cure was being sabotaged by his partner.

Reddington adjusts to his new life in prison. Along the way he immediately strikes up enemies with some of the inmates. Reddington challenges the legitimacy of the search that led to the discovery of his gun and his subsequent arrest in court.
