The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse and Heckle & Jeckle is an updated version of Mighty Mouse and Heckle & Jeckle cartoons from the 1940s. The television series was produced by Filmation, and aired from 1979 to 1980 on CBS with over 48 episodes produced. It is not to be confused with Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures.

In this show, Oil Can Harry has a bumbling assistant, Swifty, a fat cat that can still run extremely fast.

Mighty Mouse tells a fairy tale to help a crying child go to sleep. In it, he saves Pixie Pureheart (Pearl) from an evil troll (Harry) charging tolls for people to cross his bridge. The troll plans to have Pixie for dinner, literally.

Harry and Swifty sabotage the Disorient Express so that they can steal secret plans Pearl is supposed to deliver to a place called Nameless Place. The city is later renamed after Mighty Mouse.

Oil Can Harry is to be the star of a roast, but the door guard won't let him inside because he has no money to pay for a ticket. Mighty Mouse decides to pay for his ticket, but the roast ended by that point. Guest starring Heckle and Jeckle as the emcees of the roast.

Pearl's family, a bunch of gypsies, tell the story of the legend of a werecat. Meanwhile, Harry, who is the werecat, decides to capture Pearl, but as his real self, he has no memories of what happens when he is the werecat. Mighty Mouse has to do double duty to protect both Pearl from the werecat and the family of gypsy mice from the extra problems.

Oil Can Harry and Pearl compete in a car race, while Mighty thwarts Harry's every attempt at cheating.

Harry tries to sabotage Pearl's Cleopatra movie so that his next one will be the big moneymaker, after his previous film was a huge flop.

Oil Can Harry and Swifty awaken a mummy, which captures Pearl. Mighty Mouse saves Pearl and puts the mummy to rest.

The Maltese Mouse is a priceless artifact Mighty Mouse donated to the Mouseville Museum, but Harry decides to steal it by lying to Pearl (who runs her own detective agency) about it being stolen by an eccentric millionaire.

Pearl mines an underwater farm for future food sources, while Harry tries to capture her ship and use it to prey on other vessels. As always, it's Mighty Mouse to the rescue.

In Scotland, Pearl attempts to film the Cat Ness Monster, which Harry is attempting to pose as in order to kidnap her, steal the treasure found at the bottom of the loch (lake), and continue to scare the mice of Glen Cheddar away. While coming to the rescue, Mighty Mouse meets the real monster, whom the population later accepts as a citizen.

Mad scientist Pearl makes a robot patterned after Frankenstein's monster and plans to use it to do good things for all mouse kind. Harry, however, wants the robot to do evil.

In London, Pearlock Holmes (Pearl) is employed by Sir Henry Baskervilles when a creepy dog infiltrates his house. Harry pretends to be the butler in order to cause even more trouble. It turns out the dog just wanted the hamburger that was inside Harry's pants' pocket. When Mighty Mouse asks if Sir Henry wishes to press charges, he replies that Harry's rehabilitation will work if he continues to take care of the dog.

Treasure hunter Pearl Pureheart seeks the treasure of the Illdo Armada, but pirates Captain Oil Can Harry and Swifty decide to take it for themselves. Meanwhile, a crow keeps fussing at everybody for using the crow's nest on the ship, claiming it's his nest.

Pearl and her fellow citizens of an old Western town have a large herd of cattle to ship to Chicago to sell, so that they can earn money to build schools and churches. Harry and Swifty plan to steal the herd, however, and Mighty jumps in just in the nick of time.

Professor Archimedes Mouse invents a device to harness the sun's energy to benefit mousekind. Harry tries to steal the device for his own evil gain.

Harry is a gangster causing troubles all over the city, while Pearl sells apples as a street vendor. Harry's schemes Mighty Mouse must thwart include holding her for ransom (after he ate all her apples and paid her, telling her to keep the change), and blowing up the apartment building on the street corner so that she will have no place to make a living (and so that the mice have no place to live).
