The Show (Korean더 쇼) is a South Korean music television program broadcast by SBS MTV. It airs live every Tuesday and is broadcast from the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul, South Korea.[1]

Since January 2019, The Show is broadcast live to 18 countries through MTV Asia and Fortune TV in Myanmar.

Chart system[edit]

The Show's chart system was introduced at the beginning of its fourth season which started on October 28, 2014 and was named The Show Choice.[2] The three nominees are chosen from the starring singers every week and the winner of The Show Choice is determined based on the following criteria:
2014-2017

  • Pre-Score 85% (40% Digitals, 20% Music Video, 15% Music expert Score, 10% Physicals Album).
  • Live voting (15%).

2018-2020

  • Pre-score 90% (40% Digital, 20% Music Video, 15% Music expert Score, 10% Physicals Album, 5% Pre-Vote (Starpass app))
  • Live voting (Starplay app) (for The Show Choice nominees only) 10%

2021–present

  • Pre-score 85% (40% Digitals, 20% Music Video, 15% broadcast points, 10% Physicals album, Pre-Voting (Starpass app))
  • Live Text Vote 15% (Starpass app)

Hosts[edit]

CLC's Yeeun (left) and NCT Dream's Jeno (right) served as co-hosts for The Show from May 2018 until November 2019, the longest tenure out of any group of hosts.
Everglow's Sihyeon (left) and Kim Minkyu (right) hosted The Show alongside The Boyz's Juyeon from February 2020 until February 2021.
