The Star Wars is an eight part comic book series released in September 2013 by Dark Horse Comics. It adapts George Lucas's original draft for Star Wars from 1973–1974; in this version Luke Skywalker is more mature and a Jedi, and the main protagonist is named Annikin Starkiller.

In March 31, 2013, it was announced at WonderCon that George Lucas original 1974 Star Wars script into a comic book series by Dark Horse Comics early panels were shown at the event, which were then published at Bleeding Cool.[2][3][1]

The comic book series gained a mostly positive reception from critics.[4][5][6]
