This Old House is an American home improvement media brand with television shows, a magazine and a website, ThisOldHouse.com. The brand is headquartered in Stamford, CT. The television series airs on the American television network Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and follows remodeling projects of houses over a number of weeks. This Old House is produced by This Old House Ventures, Inc. with WGBH Boston as the PBS distributing station. Warner Bros. Domestic Television distributes the series to commercial television stations in syndication. Time Inc. launched This Old House magazine in 1995, focusing on home how-to, know-how and inspiration.

The team arrives in style to Music City, USA and kicks off the season at a rundown brick cottage in East Nashville. After Jenn Nawada gives Kevin O'Connor and Tom Silva a Nashville wardrobe upgrade, they make a stop at a local music venue to see a special performance. Once they have gotten a little Nashville out of their systems, they meet the homeowners and start game planning.

Kevin O'Connor meets with expert house mover Don Toothman and his team to prepare to lift Adam and Rachel's house off its foundation. Kevin and architect Kaitlyn Smous meet and go over plans for this renovation. Later, Don and his crew return to move the house. With the beams in place, they roll the house to its new temporary home in the backyard, where it will sit for the next month.

The episode opens with the house still in the backyard. While planning the prefabricated foundation walls to be set, an issue comes to light. Structural engineer, Michael Vines is onsite to solve the problem. Kevin O'Connor and Tom Silva try Nashville's famous hot chicken to celebrate. Later, house mover expert Don Toothman safely moves the house back over the new foundation.

Kevin O'Connor helps Javier with the roof plumbing penetration. Tom Silva and Jenn Nawada get a tour of the iconic Grand Ole Opry. Jenn goes backstage and meets a country music star. Richard Trethewey checks in with plumber Trevor Hasty while he works on plumbing in the primary bathroom. Tom and Lyn install an all-in-one aluminum pocket door frame for the new pocket door to the primary bedroom.

Charlie Silva and Mark McCullough make a guest appearance. Charlie meets with sales director Chandler Delinks to learn about the process of making siding from rice hulls. Meanwhile Kevin O'Connor discusses an indoor panel upgrade with electrician Ricardo Hernandez. Later, Charlie and Kevin help homeowners Rachel and Adam put up siding. Mark begins brick repair for the home office.

Richard Trethewey meets with the plumber to help lay underground pipes for the new sewer line. Homeowner Adam and Tom Silva work to repurpose the old cedar posts from the basement. Later, Kevin O'Connor and the homeowners meet with designer Debra Geiger to decide on the exterior paint colors. Meanwhile, Country Music legend Vince Gill gives Tommy a tour of his favorite spots in Nashville.

Pressure is on at the Nashville house to finish on time. Zack Dettmore flies in to help builder Javier Gutierrez install a composite deck. Jenn Nawada meets homeowner Rachel and landscape designer Max Finkbeiner to discuss plans for the front yard. Kevin O'Connor meets with TEMA director Patrick Sheehan for tornado safety tips. Homeowner Adam and builder Lyn Bowman go over safe room plans.
