Timsah Arena (literally meaning Crocodile Arena) is a stadium that is currently under construction in Bursa, Turkey. It is expected to open to be complete in 2015 and will have a capacity of 45.000 spectators. It will be the new home of Bursaspor of the Süper Lig.[1] It will replace the club's current home, Bursa Atatürk Stadium.

Construction Details[edit]

Building on 4374 square meters of land, the 45.000 capacity stadium will have 2 basement floors and 1 platform floor. It is being built to meet UEFA and FIFA's criteria so that it can be included in international competitions. There will be 70 suites and 84 entrances to the stadium. There will be capacity for 207 handicapped spectators. The car park will have capacity for 1551 cars and 256 buses.[2]

The exterior of the stadium is designed to be shaped like a crocodile's body and head, the club's mascot.[3]
