German Air Force Transall C-160D arrives at RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, England, on 10 July 2014, for the Royal International Air Tattoo

Transall (Transport Allianz) was formed in 1959 to design and build the Transall C-160 military transport aircraft. Transall was a joint venture between Nord Aviation of France, and Weser Flugzeugbau (WFB) and Hamburger Flugzeugbau (HFB) of Germany. Later production was by Aérospatiale, Vereinigte Flugtechnische Werke (VFW), and Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB) respectively.
