|Power level||Demon lord|
Ugudenk was first mentioned in the article "Demonomicon of Iggwilv: Fraz-Urb'luu" in Dragon #333 (July 2005), by James Jacobs. Ugudenk received further details in third edition in Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss (2006). Ugudenk received a full description in the "Demonomicon of Iggwilv: Apocrypha" edition in Dragon #359 (2007).
Ugudenk received further description in the fourth edition book Demonomicon (2010).
He often burrows into Hollow's Heart, the layer of Fraz-Urb'luu, and while the latter lord was imprisoned he claimed a portion - now called the Spiral of Ugudenk - as his own, infesting it with writhing minions. The spiraling cavern in the center winds all the way to the Writhing Realm itself, and Fraz-Urb'luu has thus far been unable to destroy it.
Ugudenk rules a layer called the Writhing Realm, catalogued as the 177th tier of the Abyss.
