"Unconditional Love" was the final promo single from Cyndi Lauper's album A Night to Remember. It was released only as a 3" CD promo in Hong Kong and therefore is a very rare collector's item. No music video was made for this release. As a promo release, it was not eligible for the charts.

Later, the song was covered by Bangles singer Susanna Hoffs and by Japanese singer-songwriter Shiina Ringo for the single "Kabukichou no Joou". In 1991, Hong Kong singer Stepanie Lai covered this song in Cantonese.
