United Nations Security Council Resolution 335, adopted on June 22, 1973, after separately considering their applications, the Council recommended to the General Assembly that both the German Democratic Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany be simultaneously admitted. Unlike other Security Council works it was not disclosed which nations voted which way on the resolution, the UN did not even disclose what margin the resolution passed by, though by its passage it is known that none of the veto powers voted against it.
