User:-wuppertaler
Hi all together,
as user Der-wuppertaler, also know as der.wuppertaler or wuppertaler, I am an author at the German Wikipedia since January 7th in 2007. In 2013 I decided to create my own global Wikipedia account that enables me to work in all Wikipedia and Wikimedia projects. In total, I did about 7,000 edits until December 2014. Most edited articles are German ones, some are English, Netherlands or even Afrikaans.
About me[edit]
I was born in Wuppertal, a large German city near Cologne and Düsseldorf in the west, in 1991. I am the son of two Transylvanian Saxons. After finishing elementary school I went to Wilhelm-Dörpfeld-Gymnasium (like "Wilhelm Dörpfeld secondary school"), a prestigious German school. Since 2011 I'm an undergraduate, studying Business administration at University of Wuppertal. I'm used to several kinds of languages like German, Transylvanian Saxon, Luxembourgish (all native like), English (advanced level), Italian, French, and Latin (all rather bad by now..).
Besides studying I am or was engaged in several student organizations. First I joined GreenLion Racing, a local racing team and part of the German chapter of Formula SAE. After that I joined Enactus, where I became project manager. At the same time I joined AIESEC, where I'm currently "Local Committee President" of the Wuppertal chapter. In 2014 I've also been part of the executive board of Rock Your Life!, an organizations where students care for main school pupils.
My studies[edit]
As mentioned I started my university life in 2011. First I joined an university in Dortmund, but quitted after several weeks and went to my home town Wuppertal to immatriculate its university. I was staying there for two years, before doing my semester abroad in California in San Diego in 2013, before returning to Germany in January 2014. Right now I'm in my eights semester and will hopefully finish my Bachelor's degree by summer. After that I want to do international internship, professional ones as well as volunteering, before applying for Master.

My most interesting adventure so far was my semester abroad at San Diego State University in the United States. I was living there for six months, travelled through six Northern American countries in this time and visited a lot of places I knew for years, since my childhood. I did two travels for one month each. The first started in Toronto, continued to New York City, Orlando and Miami before heading to Puerto Rico and lastly fulfilling a childhood dream: Bahamas! The second tour happened as finish of my time abroad, so I went to Dallas and Houston first, continued to Mexico and finished the whole experience in Cuba.
The second best trip was about two weeks in England. First I visited London with a close friend, afterwards we travelled to the Southern Coast to Bournemouth where we went to a language class and visited Oxford and Swanage. Another great trip was my time in Taiwan. I went there to participate in AIESEC International Congress 2014, a ten days conference with about 700 delegates from all 124 member countries. There I also met my Algerian girlfriend.
My Wikipedia work[edit]
My future plans at the English Wikipedia are mainly increasing the amount of articles that face my home town Wuppertal and the area around as well as correcting and extending the current articles. In opposite to that, my main project within the German Wikipedia is to increase the amount of articles about US cities, universities, roads and national parks. Currently I'm working for those objects regarding Alabama.
In the German Wikipedia I already created about 150 articles, in the English one it's only one so far:
