Damon Collins (born 3 June 1966) is an advertising creative and creative director. He is the son advertising enfent terrible, of Ron Collins (1939-2011) the co-founder of UK advertising agency WCRS.


Damon Collins studied art and design at Ealing College of Higher Education, then studied copywriting at Hounslow Borough College.

He got his first job was at the UK office of advertising agency Foote Cone and Belding by famously setting up a tent outside the office in a bid to get noticed. Here he created award winning campaigns for London Transport.

From there he moved to Gold Greenless Trott working on clients such as Toshiba, Cadbury’s, The Post Office and The Daily Mirror.

He left when Dave Trott, the founder and creative director was ousted by his partners to join startup Leagas Shafron Davis Chick as Deputy Creative Director.

From there he moved to Saatchi and Saatchi where he became the agency’s youngest creative Group Head, working on the British Airways, Visa and Club 18-30 accounts.

He then moved to Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO where he worked on Famous Grouse, Ikea, BT and Anti-Smoking.

Then he moved to Lowe and was promoted to Executive Creative Director by Sir Frank Lowe. Here he worked on accounts such as Stella Artois, Heineken, HSBC, Nestle, Orange, Coca Cola and Unilever.

Then to Mother where he was creative director on the Boots account as well as Home Office anti-drugs campaign.

From there he moved to RKCR/Y&R to be Executive Creative Director where he worked on the likes of Lloyds TSB, BBC, Innocent Smoothies and Bacardi.


He has been the chairman or juror on many of the global advertising awards competitions: D&AD, Cannes Lions, The Campaign Big Awards, New York Art Directors Club,

He is on the board of the British Arrows awards (formally the British Television Advertising Awards BTAA)

He has won awards in most of the main awards competitions: D&AD, Cannes Lions, The One Show, Clios, New York Art Directors Club, The New York Festivals, Kinsale Sharks, Eurobest, Andys, Epica, Creative Circle Promax, Campaign Poster Awards, Campaign Press Awards, BTAA Arrows, LIAs

He was included in US magazine Adage’s list of 50 world's most influential and inspiring creative personalities.

He is credited as the only person in advertising ever to win two BAFTAs. These were for the BBC title sequences for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.


He is married to Gabriela Da Rocha, who runs her own interior design business White Linen. They have two children, Felix and Gigi.

He is a 2nd dan black belt in Kyokushinkai karate.
