Tony Junior, the entertainer (born Tony Kelly on 2nd September 1966) in Washington, Tyne & Wear, is a versatile British entertainer who has performed throughout the United Kingdom.
In 1985, Junior started out as a Butlin's Redcoat, at Wonderwest World, Ayr, Scotland. Originally, he was hired as a Lifeguard but the Entertainment's Director and Manager both realised his potential and made him a full-time Redcoat within a a month of starting. Tony was very talented guitar instrumentalist and featured in all the Redcoat Shows as well as other in-house shows in the various venues. This was in addition to performing normal Redcoat duties. Junior was awarded the Most Popular Redcoat of the Season and the end of the 1985 season, September, he was one of the few who was offered the chance to go to Butlin's SouthCoast World, Bognor Regis for the Winter and Christmas Season, leaving here at end of season shortly after the New Year.
Junior was then offered to return to Wonderwest World in Ayr again for the 1986, 1987, 1988 and 1989 seasons
At the end of the 1986 season, Tony again was one of the few offered the chance to go to Butlin's Somercoast World, Somerset for the Winter and Christmas Season, leaving here at end of season shortly after the New Year.
At the end of the 1987 season at Ayr, again Tony was this time offered a full winter season at the Butlin's Ocean Hotel in Brighton before returning to Ayr in May 1988.
Again, at the end of the 1988 season in Ayr, Junior was one of the few who was offered the chance to go to Butlin's SouthCoast World, Bognor Regis for the Winter and Christmas Season, leaving here at end of season shortly after the New Year.
During the 1987 season in Ayr, Tony was offered to take control of the Staff Entertainment's Programme along with his Redcoat duties. In 1988, he took this position on at the start of the season and offered a whole range of staff entertainment thatoften seen the staff bar break record sales. The highlight of the staff entertainment programme was the staff show, where all members of staff from waiters to cleaners to fairground staff took part in the Big Show. Tony set up a band, with him being the guitarist and 3 other members of staff. This night was so successful, the Staff Bar sold out of all drinks before the end of the show.
In May 1989, Junior received an offer from the entertainment's manager of Barry Island Resort, South Wales to take on the role of === Junior Leader === responsible for the entire Children's Entertainment programme and it's team of Junior Redcoats. Junior also appeared in many of the parks shows and also covered in the lounge bar playing guitar, singing, playing piano, performing magic when the resident entertainer was on a day off.
During his time at Butlin's, he started teaching himself magic and used his time on the holiday centres to perform around the tables and experiment in children's and stage magic.
At the end of 1989 season at Barry Island, he turned professional and performed close up magic 5 days per week at Chiquitos Restaurant, Metrocentre, Gateshead as well as performing children's magic shows.
In 1990, Junior was offered the joint position of Entertainment Manager/Entertainer for Rockley Park, Poole for Bourne Leisure and this was the start of a successful career on numerous holiday centres as a resident professional

At end of 1992, Junior's good reputation as a resident entertainer had been heard of by many other UK Holiday Parks companies and he received and accepted an offer for Haven Holiday's Largest All Action Holiday Centre as their entertainer for the 1500 seater Family Room, Princes.

1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002: P+O Ferry Cruises, Junior accumulated 48 weeks onboard P+O throughout this period
Between the end of the seasons and the start of the seasons, (usually October to March) of each year Junior performed for many clients as a Magician, Children's Entertainer, Disc Jockey, Presenter/Host. P+O and the Swallow Hotels, repeatedly hired his services and offered large volumes of bookings.
2004 - Present
After a very succesful career on holiday centres, smashing all kinds of sales records for the various departments on most holiday centres he provided the entertainment, in 2004, Junior decided to stay in his home town and concentrate on building up his own clientelle.
Junior has thousands of events and functions to his credit, including Corporate Functions, Compering Christmas Light's Switch-Ons, Store Promotions, Family Fundays, Weddings, Christenings, Childrens Parties and was one of Haven's most booked family cabaret acts
Tony is very much a sort after entertainer who continues to tour the length and breadth of the UK.
