Claims direct is a law firm specialising in the field of personal injury compensation. Founded in 1996 by Tony Sulliman and Colin Poole, it was floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2000. The firm changed ownership in 2001, but made losses both in 2001 and 2002, and entered receivership in July 2002 after failing to pay back debts to Abbey National. The company was sold to entrepreneur Mick Shepherd, and had resumed trading by May 2003. By July 2004, Claims Direct was owned by law firm Russell Jones & Walker, before it began trading again.
