Argento Surfer is a long time user of Wikipedia, but seldom edited articles prior to August of 2011. It was then he viewed the Adam Warlock article and found it very poorly written, both in style and content. After creating his user profile, Argento proceded to prune the article of fancruft and improve its organization. His efforts were recognized by Tenebrae, who suggested Argento apply his efforts toward other articles in need on the Comic clean up list.

Between March 2012 and April 2013, Argento addressed over 5500 issues and removed over 3000 articles from the list. Most of his edits were done while at work, and his editing was greatly diminished when he received a promotion in May 2013. His efforts shifted from the clean up list to article creation and expansion. His first article to reach GA status was MIND MGMT in June 2013. In June of 2016, he received another promotion which allowed him to return to active editing. Most of his current efforts are directed at creating new articles, maintaining his watchlist, and guiding new editors in the comic project. His first featured article was Archie vs. Predator in March 2017, and his first featured article to be included on the main page was The Fade Out.

He first participated in the WikiCup in 2017. That year he scored points for four Good Articles, three Did You Knows, and 26 Good Article Reviews, but was eliminated in the third round. He is doing better in 2018.

In the event of my death...[edit]

If this section is still on my user page AND I have not made any edits in the past 30 days, I hope that some kind editor will do these things for me:

  • Use anything in my sandbox to improve the intended article(s) and then delete that section from my sandbox.
  • Add Template:Deceased Wikipedian to both my user page and talk page
  • Remove me from these mailing lists, along with any others that may be evident from my talk page.
  • Update the lead of my user page to past tense
  • Add the date of my last edit to the infobox on my user page as my date of death
  • Update my edit count userbox and my edit count section
  • Remove the to-do list section and this section from my user page
