Akshay is a person interested in almost everything on earth. These include, but are not limited to:

Subject Interest Participation
Artificial Intelligence Creating AI is the purpose of his life Has his own theory of how intelligence arises from the interplay of neurons. Has a bot which runs in whatsapp python-whatsapp-bot on Github
Programming Believes all problems in the world can be solved in python Has never learned a programming language systematically. Thus finds coding without bugs tough
GNU/Linux and Free culture Loves GNU/Linux and knows its strengths. FOSS is the only way human beings can achieve excellence Runs only GNU/Linux on his computer. An IRC volunteer of Mozilla
Social sciences Believes in the power of democracy Is not afraid to voice opinions
Quizzing As is his love for knowledge, so is his love for sharing it Participated and won tens of quizzes while he was in school. When he reached college, the winning percentage decreased, primarily because the kind of quizzes changed from general knowledge to trivia. Still, won second place in one technology quiz in FOSS camp, SJCE with his partner Hitesh Byatroy
Technology Loves tinkering with the latest technology. Believes newer technology will make human life easier Loves his laptop, and android phone. Otherwise, he solves almost all software related problems in most devices of friends.
Health and Fitness When health is lost, everything is lost Goes cycling once in a while
Research Thought he was born to be a scientist when he was in school. Still thinks so Competitive examinations do not count, yet, was once shortlisted for KVPY interview in 11th standard. In college he was shortlisted for ICMR STS for his proposal on "Prevalence and pattern of sexual abuse in college going women in Mysore and its impact on their mental health" but the IEC never gave him approval to go on and conduct his study despite him trying twice. Doing a study on "The Respiratory Effects in Road Construction Workers in Mysore" now

Web development Like wikipedia, believes in the power of web, and believes that all codifiable knowledge should be uploaded to the web Runs Learn Learnin', which is his attempt in collecting all his insights in one place. Also, tries to tinker with jquery, and other javascript frameworks like impress.js
Entrepreneurship Thinks that the best way to beat the system is by creating one Always goes on to open source things, and help others for free, which as you'd notice isn't a good business skill
Tennis Loves watching Roger Federer Tried learning in 11th standard. Learned only forehand, stopped due to clash of timing with entrance coaching
Music Boring work should never be done without music Ear phones do not fit his ears
Guitar Wants to be a pro Rarely practises on his second hand guitar

Tip of the day...
Wikipedia industrial-powered search

Do you need more search power? You wish to leave no stone unturned?

AutoWikiBrowser includes a tool called Database Scanner that searches Wikipedia offline from your hard disk. It returns a simple unformatted single-column list of pages that match your criteria.

It is in AWB's tool menu. To use the scanner, first download the Wikipedia Database and unzip it. No login is required to use the tool, so you do not need to be a registered AWB user. Database Scanner supports regular expressions (regex) and it supports two search fields that it uses at the same time: one for searching titles and one for searching page content.

It may take over 20 minutes for a search to finish, so the best approach may be to change to another window and forget about the search for a while, though it can be fun (and enlightening) to watch the titles as they appear on the list (and look some up while you are waiting). Database Scanner also has a filter feature to further refine the list of results.
