Atul Malaviya or Malviya, was born in Lalitpur, a small town in Uttar Pradesh, India.

Atul, born on 15 November 1959 in a brahmin family, was the youngest amongst 3 brothers and one sister, born to Pandit Ramakant & Savitri Malviya.

Atul did his graduation from Nehru Mahavidyalaya Lalitpur and moved to Bundelkhand College Jhansi for Bachelor of Law. He joined Syndicate Bank at an age of 23 as Probationary Officer. Later, he completed MBA from prestigious Poddar School of Management, Jaipur.

Atul, worked at different places in several states of India till 2005. He worked at New Delhi, Roorkee, Hyderabad, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Chanchoda, Jaipur, Bilaspur & Bhuj. He was instrumental in re-establishing Syndicate Bank's Bhuj branch which was reduced to rubble during earthquake that struck on 26 January 2001 with Bhuj as it's epicentre. Mr. Atul, who was heading that branch, didn't spare any efforts to ensure that this large branch of a public sector bank. His untiring efforts were lauded by national as well as international media.

Mr. Atul Malviya married to Sushma Malviya on 4 February 1983 and have two children Aastha and Arnav. Atul moved to Africa in 2005 and worked there in different Banks in senior positions.
