Beatrice Curnew (born Beatrice Rose Curnew on 1 July 1980) is an English actress working in theatre, television and film.

Training[edit]

Beatrice studied Drama at Exeter University, graduating with a 2.1 Honours degree in 2001.

She trained as an actress at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating in 2002.

Career[edit]

Theatre: She is known for portraying Cathy, daughter to Jane (played by Isla Blair) in The Company Man at The Orange Tree Theatre in 2010 [1] , for Office Christmas Party at Hull Truck Theatre in 2011 [2]. She toured the US with The Burial at Thebes produced by Nottingham Playhouse in 2008 [3], and portrayed Lady Teasle in The School for Scandal at Greenwich Theatre with Stage on Screen in 2009 [4]. She was also part of Old Vic New Voices scheme in 2005.


Television: She has appeared in BBC Doctors, Eastenders and Emmerdale, Top Boy 2 and Big School.


Film: In 2014 she filmed the Early Years with Oscar winner Paolo Sorrentino. In 2013 she played opposite Lesley Manville in The Christmas Candle and in 2012 worked with Sam Mendes on the Bond film, Skyfall.

She is a Board member of the charity The Theatrical Guild [5]
