Me.[edit]

Hi. I'm a fortysomething who messes with video game articles and other escapist subjects; I guess I could call this a hobby. Only recently have I realized that my join date was: 07-07-07. No joke.

My bread and butter has mostly been fighting games, especially Mortal Kombat, as it's been a part of my life for nearly a quarter of a century. I've had the pleasure of working with editors such as Niemti, Freikorp, Tintor2 and many others on how to properly write these things. I also have an annoying habit of editing some random article and then coming back to it later to work on it further for no apparent reason, whether or not I'm familiar with the subject. Go figure.

Folks, please don't get upset if I wind up changing your past edits. When I perform extensive edits or cleanups, I first and foremost try to maintain the integrity of the article. I myself have had big edits that I worked my butt off on and thought were the cat's pajamas, hacked up by other contributors over time. That's just how Wikipedia rolls, y'all.

How I devote too much of my time to Wikipedia.[edit]

Major VG article cleanups. Recreated articles are in bold.

As you can see, I have a knack for picking game characters who don't have scads of mainstream attention or big hooters (a.k.a. the guys). Lord, how I despise fan service.

Significant contributions (2011-present):

Stuff in progress[edit]

  • Working on getting Johnny Cage to GA status remains on hold. Ongoing case of Idontfeellikeitrightnowitis.
  • I hope to get Carolyn Jones cleaned up at some point, because that article is a mess. I've been tinkering with this in my sandbox over the past few weeks, but in all honesty my heart's just not in it. Rewriting existing content has proven difficult and locating sources much harder than expected. At some point I'll probably just dump what I've done so far into the existing article.

In the attic[edit]

Old (2007-2010) enhancements in which I'm no longer active:

*—I did my first major Wikipedia edit, of this article, in 2007 that was all reverted ONLY because...I was an anon at the time. Yep. If that was someone's way into provoking me to create an account, well, it worked.

I just wanted to stop by and say what an amazing job you've done cleaning up the Cristiano Ronaldo article. It was filled with POV, coatracking, and all sorts of nonsense, and you cleaned it up and did a spectacular job of it. Thank you and well done! Vickser (talk) 23:46, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
