The Fierce & The Dead are a UK based rock band playing mainly instrumental music. Described by Classic Rock Presents Prog magazine as "Simultaneously entrancing and distinctly peculiar"[1], their style has evolved to include elements of punk, progressive rock, psychedelia, drone and noise rock.

The band came together as an experiment during the recording of Matt Steven's second album, Ghost, in 2010.
