The Adoption Centre of Choice is an American Fork based not for profit adoption agency licensed under the laws of the state of Utah. The organization was founded by James Webb in 1995, and provides services for infant adoptions, counseling and support for birth mothers and adoptive families. The organization's marketing focuses on allowing birth mothers a better chance at finishing high school.[1]

Adoption Advocacy[edit]

The organization is a long time supporter of National Adoption Month in the United States. James Webb, the organizations founder, is himself an adoptive father of 4. [2]

The Adoption Center's support programs for expectant young mothers includes food, housing, counseling[3], and other support they may require. They have also been publicly supportive of single parent adoptions.[4]

Legal Controversy[edit]

The organization found itself the subject of legal controversy in 2012 in relation to the adoption of Leah Archane. The child had been placed up for adoption by her mother, who later turned out to be married to the father, a US Army Drill Sergent. Upon learning of his daughters adoption Terry Archane sued to obtain custody of the girl, which was granted by Judge Darold McDade of the 4th District Court. In his decision the judge admonished the Adoption Center for not providing information to the father when his paternity came to light. [5]
