Chief Instructor Ayyappan started learning karate from SHIHANHUSSAINI in the year 1998 He got his 2nd Dan black belt in the year 2005 and 3rd Dan in 2007. In the year 2007, he visited Pittsburgh (U.S.A) for a special tactical training. He participated in ISSHINRYU WORLD KARATE ASSOCIATION’s (IWKA) International tournament in U.S.A 2009, in which, he clinched the championship title and was honoured by one of the IWKA’s senior most senseis, HANSHI DUESSEL (9thdan).

He got his 4th Dan black belt from OIKKA (OKINAWA ISSHINRYU KARATE &KOBUDO ASSOCIATION) Isshinryu world president, HANSHI ANGI UEZU (10thdan), Japan in 2010.

He got the Japanese government’s affiliation from Hanshi Christopher Chase in the year 2010.

He is specialized in weapon handling and has won the National Championship in Nunchakku Handling.

In the year 2011, he was selected for IWKA Tournament, Indianapolis, U.S.A. He won the second place in the same, in ‘Advanced Black Belt Kumite’ category. He was the only participant to represent India in IWKA 2011 in the Black belt category. He was trained in Gojuryu by Grandmaster Tetshiro Hokama, Japan (9th Dan) and got his 5th Dan in the year 2011. He has won the Taekwondo National Championship. He was awarded 2nd Dan Black Belt for his mastery in Taekwondo by Kukkiwon, Korea in the year 2011.

He started his Taekwondo School, Central Chennai Taekwondo Club (CCTC) in the year 2011.

In May 2012, he visited Okinawa, the birth place of Karate for an intensive training under the Isshinryu’s senior most Grandmaster, Kichiro Shimabuku 10th Dan Black Belt and the president of IWKA.

His Born To Fight Karate School is affiliated as the one and only direct branch of IWKA in India, teaching the IWKA’s way of Isshinryu Karate

Vision: His aim is to popularize karate among women, kids and special children. He sees karate as not just an art, but as a way of living. Karate is not restricted to self-defence, it is a key to enlightenment.
