Sharon Carpenter (born March 2nd, 1982 in Watford, United Kingdom) is a broadcast journalist who is best known for her work as a news anchor and reporter for Black Entertainment Television and BET International. She was the first British TV personality to represent the networks. Before her on-air position at BET, Carpenter reported for the financial news show CBS MarketWatch Weekend. She began her journalism career as an associate producer for UPN 9 News and later became a producer for BET Nightly News. Carpenter is now a contributing correspondent for ''BBC World News America''.
