Chris Mentillo Ph.D., aka Chris Doc Mentillo is an American award-winning, and best-selling writer, producer, and author of horror, supernatural fiction, suspense, science fiction, Macabre, and true crime.[1][2][3][4][5]

Early Life[edit]

Chris Todd Mentillo, Ph.D., aka, "Doc Mentillo" is the son of Robert Anthony Mentillo and Marie Ann Mentillo. He was born into a Roman Catholic family. Both his parents are teachers, and successful in business. His family's ethnic background is a mixture consisting of, Italian, Irish, Scottish, American Indian, and Hungarian ancestry.

Chris Mentillo was born in Auburn, New York. He grew up in the village of Skaneateles, New York (The name, "Skaneateles" is from the Iroquois term for the adjacent Skaneateles Lake, which means "long lake)." and later moved to the Boston, Massachusetts New England Area, where he finished receiving his formal education at North Attleboro High School and Bradford College in Massachusetts.

Later he became a graduate of, the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council Institute in Boston, Massachusetts, which now hails as part of Northeastern University Massachusetts program. He then went back to receive his research doctorate degree in psychological counseling, and criminal psychology - researching at Palmer 5 building Deaconess Hospital, Longwood Medical Center Psychiatric Department in Boston, Massachusetts.

Plagued with horrific nightmares during his tenure in New England, Chris Mentillo began writing about his real-life spiritual and paranormal experiences while documenting them in his personal journal. These documents also consisted of the author's bizarre dreams. Some of the "true occurrences" he later recorded from literature became available on his radio show broadcasts. However, for some reason he officially only published a portion of them. This later lead to Chris Mentillo writing more about true crime mixed with horror and the supernatural for which he believes all intertwine.[6][7]

Chris Mentillo has written and produced numerous songs under the label name, Got Money Records for which the lyrics typically involve: true stories of crime, gangsters, death, murder, paranormal activity, and the supernatural.[17][18][19] The record label name was given to him while hosting his radio show (2007), The Chris Mentillo Show.[20][21][22]

While airing and broadcasting his short radio program segments, Doc Mentillo’s (Chris Mentillo) radio audience, along with his recording studio fans in the Hip Hop, pop and R&B genre, continually called him and referred to him as Radio Doc, or DOC. Additionally, the Hip-hop sector also referred to Chris Mentillo as DOC, or UNK, Big UNK, Biggie UNK, and Doc mentillo --- short for Dr. Mentillo and for the abbreviation D.O.C. which is short for "Department of Corrections."[23][24]

In January of 2013, Chris Mentillo received a phone call from a friend in the music industry who asked Mentillo to reproduce a raw song under his records label, Got Money Records for which Charles Manson partially wrote and recorded back in the 1960's. Reluctant at first, Chris Mentillo turned down the offer. However, for reasons unknown, later changed his mind and by September 23, 2013, Charles Manson was once again back on the shelves.[25][26]

The Eye of Providence, or the all-seeing eye of God, seen here on the US $1 bill, has been taken by some to be evidence of a conspiracy involving the founders of the United States.

Many conspiracy theories (A conspiracy theory is an explanatory proposition that accuses two or more persons, a group, or an organization of having caused or covered up, through secret planning and deliberate action, an illegal or harmful event or situation), transpired over the years, depicting other possibilities as to what the real motive was behind theses murders. Regardless, Chris Mentillo's reproduction of Charles Manson... "End of Days," explored the music motive to the Manson murders and uncovers Charles Manson's relationship with Beach Boys' drummer, Dennis Wilson and record producer, Terry Melcher.

Personal[edit]

Chris Mentillo is currently married to his wife, Gloria Pasztor Mentillo. The two were married in North Conway, New Hampshire on May 25, 1996.

On April 25, 2013, Mentillo was delivering bundles of soft cover paperback books publications to nearby residents and businesses, when he felt a pop in his lower back. To date, Chris Mentillo has never fully recovered. Additionally, he claims the incident has caused a steady decline in his health, leading him to become a recluse, while interrupting his everyday lifestyle.

On October 30, 2015, while visiting a popular park and resort the day before Halloween, Chris Mentillo was with his wife, sister-in-law, and friend when suddenly he became ill, went into a seizure, collapsed, blacked-out, and finally was rushed in an ambulance to a nearby hospital. The exact cause of the incident still remains unknown. However, in addition to being severely dehydrated, there were also large traces of opiates (painkillers) found in his body.
