Custom Ride Ons Hobby[edit]

A custom ride ons hobby [1] is a regular activity or interest involving the modification and repair of ride ons that is undertaken for pleasure, typically done during one's leisure time.

Many custom ride on hobby community members communicate and share using online medium [2] such as message forums [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] and YouTube [8] . Racing events are occasionally coordinated and held where community members from surrounding areas come together to socialize, compete, and show off [9] [10].


What is a Ride On[edit]

A "ride on" consists of, but not limited to, any of the following in electric or gas:

  • toy ride on vehicles
  • recreational scooters
  • bicycles
  • pocket bikes
  • go-karts
  • ATVs
  • mobility devices
  • riding lawn mowers


It excludes the following:

  • motorcycles
  • street legal scooters
  • cars
  • trucks
  • SUV’s
  • buses
  • Other automobiles which are similar to those described in this list


Why Customize[edit]

Here are some reasons why a person may want to customize a ride on.

  • make a ride on go faster [11]
  • make a ride on go farther
  • save money by extending the age range supported by a ride on [12]
