Claire Trentain was born in Cairns and raised in Central Queensland, Australia.

Her creative interest in music and the arts came at an early age. After graduating high school, Claire went to University to complete a Bachelor of Visual Arts whilst continuing with her music. Over the next couple of years, she focused on writing her own music and developing her unique pop style.

In April 2004, after catching the attention of several local labels, Claire had the opportunity to travel to America and Europe on a songwriting sojourn working with writers from Murlyn Music Group, Multiplay Music and Sony.

In 2005, Claire co-wrote her debut album "Loving The Blue & Green" with Swedish producers Murlyn Music. Supposedly, it was the time Murlyn Music had produced an album for an Australian artist. Murlyn's back-catalogue of hits include songs for such international names as Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, the Sugababes, Jessica Simpson, Santana, Ronan Keating, Celine Dion and many more. A former Vice President of Murlyn Music, Pelle Lidell described Claire as an amazing talent.

After several trips around the world, Claire has an outstanding portfolio of music contributing to her impressive debut album. Claire Trentain's music show the promise of Australia's next pop princess. There's a diversity amongst her tracks that show she can easily swing from dance to country and from a soulful ballad to upbeat pop. Pretty and perky, this Aussie girl looks poised to follow up with even more sophisticated and enduring material on future albums.

Overall Claire's music is mainstream pop with catchy hooks and intelligent meaningful lyrics. Some songs on her debut album sound a little country-pop in the vein of Faith Hill and Shania Twain.

Claire also has a great stage presence when performing live. She is a must-see for anyone who loves a great performance and anyone who loves great music and an awesome live band sound. If you get a chance to go to one of her concerts don't hesitate just go!

Claire's first CD single release "Warmth" hit the Australian Top 50 singles chart in August 2006 with little national radio airplay and without the distribution from a major Australian record company.

Her second single release, nearly a year later, "What Would You Say?" faired lower on the charts but is the stand-out track on her first album. The song's lyrics set it apart from other pop tracks released in 2007. Noteworthy lyrics, "What would you do if I flashed my bits at you?" and "What would you do if my girlfriend joined in too?" hint at Claire's naughty side!
