Hi, I'm Mark. I live in Boardman, Oregon and currently attend school online through Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho preparing to start at Washington State University Tri-Cities in Richland, Washington to gain a Bachelor's in Earth and Environmental Science. I try to expand Wikipedia's knowledge of things around the western United States that interest me, especially by creating new pages for geographic features. I have been the recipient of one award on Wikipedia so far.
I grew up in a military family, but claim Kennewick, Washington as my home town. I have also lived in places like Abilene, Texas and Tacoma, Washington. We were struck by the 2001 Nisqually earthquake.
I became a licensed amateur radio operator in 2009, becoming General class in 2015. I am a member of the Hermiston, Oregon Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I served a mission in the Nebraska Omaha Mission from 2013 until 2015. As such I also edit articles pertaining to the Church.
I like to travel and have been to 28 states and 8 countries. I have found over 1000 geocaches. The following are the places I've lived:
Kennewick, Washington
Louisville, Kentucky
Fayetteville, North Carolina
Tacoma, Washington
Abilene, Texas
Council Bluffs, Iowa
Omaha, Nebraska
Central City, Nebraska
St. Anthony, Idaho
Fernley, Nevada
Boardman, Oregon
