The National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE) is a body dependent on Red.es and the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda of Spain. It has its official headquarters in the city of León (Spain) and maintains an office in Madrid

Performance

It was founded in 2006 under the name of the National Institute of Communication Technologies (INTECO), which on October 28, 2014 is modified to that of INCIBE: What is the INCIBE?

 INCIBE aims to develop the Information Society through innovation and the development of projects related to national and international cybersecurity.

It offers information, training and awareness about cybersecurity to different target audiences. It is mainly aimed at small and medium companies from its section Protect your company, to professionals of cybersecurity through INCIBE CERTSI and to citizens through the Internet Security Office.

Proyects

1. SCADA LAB (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition Laboratory) is a project focused on supervising and acquiring data for the protection of critical infrastructures.
2. CloudCERT it is a testing environment for the realization of exercises of exchange of unclassified information relative to the protection of critical infrastructures among the agents involved in their protection.
3. ASASEC (Advisory System Against Sexual Exploitation of Children) is a technological solution for the fight against child pornography at an international level.
4. It also collaborates in the adaptations to the National Security Schemeof the Spanish Public Administration.

The Agenda Digital Española points out to INTECO as a reference in cybersecurity, protection of minors on the Internet and protection of privacy.

Projects already completed:

1. Accessibility: has participated in the creation of standards UNE of The Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (Aenor).
2. Promotes the standard XBRLin the Public administration.
