Eng-Wong, Taub & Associates is a multidisciplinary traffic and transportation consulting firm with offices in New York City and Newark, NJ. Founded in 1988 by Paul Eng-Wong and Martin Taub, the firm employs 50 professionals and support personnel in New York and New Jersey, among the largest dedicated traffic staffs in the region. Eng-Wong, Taub staff are active leaders within the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Transportation Research Board, American Planning Association, and other organizations, and frequent presenters and authors on a wide range of transportation issues. Eng-Wong, Taub is certified as a minority business enterprise (MBE) in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Paul Eng-Wong and Marty Taub established Eng-Wong, Taub & Associates in May 1988, bringing under one roof over thirty years of experience leading traffic engineering and transportation planning services at several prominent national consulting firms. Working out of a small Canal Street office, they grew the business on a series of smaller assignments before being brought onto the traffic, planning, and environmental team for the Hunters Point Waterfront Development EIS, among the largest such studies in New York City at the time.

In 1990 the firm began serving as traffic engineering call-in consultant to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and soon thereafter Eng-Wong, Taub was selected to author the “Traffic & Parking” and “Transit & Pedestrians” chapters for New York City’s first-ever CEQR Technical Manual, the guidebook for all traffic and transportation impact studies citywide. By the mid-1990s the firm’s professional engineering and planning staff numbered two-dozen employees, the majority of whom are senior leaders of the firm today. As Eng-Wong, Taub grew in size and stature, the firm moved its Manhattan offices to 145 West 45th Street, and then again to its present location at 2 Penn Plaza. A regional office at One Gateway Center in Newark, New Jersey was opened for the first time in 2002, expanding to larger space in the same building just several years later.
