Glenn Edward Malone, Ed.D. (born July 9, 1960 in Fairborn, Ohio) is an American. He has been a teacher, principal, and public educator since 1982. Dr. Malone has served in a variety of roles in public education since 1982; specifically as a school principal for over 20 years in four different school districts. Dr. Malone was selected as Pierce County's Distinguished Principal of the Year in 2000 and was honored as the National Distinguished Principal of the Year in 2010. He has led school teams to two School of Distinction Awards as well as the Closing the Achievement Gap Award.
Dr. Malone currently serves as the Executive Director of Assessment, Accountability & Student Success in the Puyallup Schools and as a consultant to the Association of Washington School Princpals (AWSP) in the development of the AWSP Leadership Framework. Dr. Malone is a former Director of Technology, and he continues to serve as a Staff Development Specialst for the Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCCE).
Dr. Malone has taught as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Puget Sound and at Pacific Lutheran University. He is the cofounder and coordinator of WSUPuyallup, the Principal and Program Administrator Certification Program in Puyallup, Washington; an extension of the WSUVancouver Campus. Dr. Malone was most recently elected as the incoming President-elect for the Washington Educational Research Association (WERA)..
